Deleteadorable dress - thanks for sharing the pattern!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you enjoy using it!
DeleteThis looks like a great pattern to work with. Love the style, and the addition of matching capris. I also think the party dress is lovely. It's so nice to have the child's dress pattern to match that one. I just discovered your site, and am ready to start sewing. Now, if I can scale the AG patterns down to fit the Melissa and Doug "Mine-to-Love' dolls, I can outfit the entire "family." Many thanks!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Let me know how they turn out. I am sure your daughter will love them! :o)
DeleteA few days ago I purchased a 'Easy' doll pattern but turned out terrible even after following the poorly written instructions. I wish I had tried this one first- it turned out so pretty and perfect. Thanks so much
ReplyDeleteI hate it when something like that happens. It's why I usually make up my own patterns, even though it feels like I take 4x the amount of time I otherwise would. I am glad that your dresses turned out beautifully! Please feel free to post it on my FB page if you have time. Have a wonderful day!
DeleteThank you so much for sharing your wonderful and very clear instructions and dress patterns. I truly appreciate it and GOD bless your kind heart for it. It is bloggers like you who are constantly motivating to do better in my sewing. I am new to blogging and sewing and have learned a lot from you. I love your pattern for this doll dress however, I would love to sew it for my little niece who is about three years old. How do I go about it. Any help or advise is truly appreciated.

Thank you again..GOODLUCK!!!
I am sure you will do fine. Just cut it out and follow the tutorial. If you have any specific problems or questions, comment or pm on FB or Twitter. Have fun!
DeleteI found this and thought it would be cute for my daughters Stella doll. When I printed it off, it was definitely too big but I kept that pattern for my AG dolls when she gets bigger. I reprinted it at 70% and its the perfect size for her current doll. Now, to pick up my iron from the store on Monday. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I hope she loves it!
DeleteThanks. I was looking for a simple pattern to begin sewing with my granddaughter. Wish us luck!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! My grandmothers taught me to sew and it's a skill & a pleasure I am grateful for. May you both be blessed with happy memories and beautiful success!
DeleteWuao is an adorable dress. Please where you found the fabric?
ReplyDeleteI bought the bird fabric from Hancock's Fabric and the pink from JoAnn's.
DeleteThank you very much for this nice dress pattern.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome!
DeleteHas anyone else thought this would make a lovely baby girl's dress? I think i will scale it up and try!
ReplyDeleteIt would be cute!
DeleteLove this dress, but for some reason I'm not understanding how to put the two dress pieces together. I get to the part where I sew the sleeves together and I'm stuck. Can you help me understand it better? I'm just drawing a blank.
ReplyDeleteAfter step 3, before you add the buttons, turn your dresses with the right side of the fabric facing the right side of the fabric of the different dresses. Now, sew the armholes together and the neckhole together. The two different dresses are joined at these three points. You then pull the two dresses apart. And seam along 1 edge with the right sides of the same fabrics facing each other, from the bottom of one dress up to the armhole and down to the bottom of the other dress. I know that sounds a little confusing, but that's how you do it. I hope the pictures help you.
Deletehey am new at the doll making, can you tell me if this will fit a baby alive doll

ReplyDeleteThank you for your patterns & tutorials! They're easy to understand and always turn out so cute. I'm a relatively new sewer and have used your patterns & followed your instructions to make outfits for the dolls that are donated to the local Hospice Re-sale store.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great thing to do! I'm glad to know that the pattern is being put towards an excellent charitable use.
